As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of My Day...Friday August 19

1. Teaching Wisdom kindergartens "Pat-a-cake" song turned into a violent activity with me repeatedly getting hit in the head with little hands.
2. Wisdom Jack refused to go home...he loves school and so I had to literally pry his hands off my chair. It was like taking the lamb to the slaughter - so painful for all.
3. Daewoo got his first hair cut and first hair dye too. I dyed my hair blackER tonight and by accident some dropped on Daewoo. It turned the tip of his tale a weird kind of blue.
4. Was greeted by my "fan club" members who were literally sitting there and waiting for me at training. Supposedly I've agreed to some social outing that's happening next Friday. I was just trying to be polite and then all of a sudden I've be committed. Young Un watched it all go down and had a good laugh. We then thought up official names for particular "fan members"...."Dance Man"and "Big Head".
5. Went to meet up Naomi and all her foreign friends. There were 7 of us girls (almost ALL of Cheonan's foreign women) dancing and acting silly. Then we went to meet up with some other foreigners at some club.....brings the total to about 20! Never seen so many foreigners in Cheonan!
6. Tried to stir up a conversation with a group of male Koreans and all it turned into was them asking me how was the best looking. Thankfully got rescued by one of the DJs, Je Nim and his co-worker Chung Hong. Ended up hanging with them the rest of the night.
7. Got approached by some of the foreign guys that were with us and totally realized that had I not picked Paulo, I would have definitely gone Korean. Foreign men here are aggressive and don't have as good of manners. Got to love the one dude who told Naomi to tell me that I am pretty....what, are we in grade eight?!
8. Started a little rivery with Je Nim and Chung Hong over who is stronger among the three of us. This turned into a mini arm-wrestling tournament and surprisingly Je Nim won! This particular display of stereotypical manlyhood lead to my new nickname, "handsome Girl". I gave a good fight, "like a man" they said.
9. Agreed to stay in touch with both Je Nim and Chung Hong. We exchanged emails/numbers and I've agreed to attend their huge club party next Friday...ah, what am I going to do?! That's the same night I'm suppose to go out with Dance Man and Big Head....I've double-booked!
10. Finally left the club at 8:30am...just getting to be now. What a night!!!
