1. Got word from my mom that she contacted the postal office and inquired about the tracking on my package. They had no answer so I'm assuming someone in Thailand is thanking her right now.
2. Just when I thought I had narrowed my wedding dress selection down to three, I got introduced to two more really beautiful dresses....ah the stress.
3. Went a whole day with Jimmy NOT crying...it's a first!
4. I always thought people become their names in a way but what was I thinking when I named one of my Virgo boys Henry. I'm sure my father was a beautiful student loved by all his teachers but this ultra skinny boy is a wild child who in the middle of class decides he's going to start barking!
5. Had supper at the Kimbob and realized that I was the ONLY one drinking the soup as oppose to using a spoon....kindergartens are rubbing off on me.
6. Young Un and Woo canceled their plans with Tasha and me because Woo was sick so at training Young Un and I had a push-up competition to see if he'll still come out.... I won but decided that we'd all go out next Friday and so he'd have to bring Woo AND MOOK!!!
7. Thought I caught glimpse of this mystery Travis guy and so I bolted around the corner to the building's back entrance but missed him. Went out a bit later with Tasha to track him down but we had no luck.
8. Went to the big party at MBar and hung out with Je Min, Chong Hong, a room full of hyper Koreans and some foreigners.....and the Irish Idiot was there. Stayed out way too late (5:30am) but like Friday, it was a great pracitce session for my Korean.
9. Had a Korean dude follow me around the whole night cause he insisted that he was in love with me.
10. Once again saw the sad stereotype that many of our foreign men here foster... they're all geeks. One foreigner was totally getting on my nerves with his cheesy lines and so I flat out told him, "I don't like white men. I'm in Korea sweety and it's not for the kimchi". Should have just told him I was engaged, I know, but with no fiance by my side he would have taken it for a lie.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Do you believe in magic?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
No one can make you fell inferior without your consent.
Eleanor Roosevelt
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
