1. Woke up with my hair caught in Daewoo's teeth!
2. Found a naughty kind of pleasure in someone else's pain. Printed off a 9 page wedding planning checklist for a local white girl here and knowing that it'll cause her stress kind of brought me relief.
3. Today was an emotional day for my kindergartens. Not only did I make a student cry on command but I also made another one stop crying on command. Let me explain....I was having troubles with Wisdom John and so I told him, "when you don't listen, you make me sad" and on that note he cried. Then Dream Jimmy wasn't doing his work and so I sent him to another classroom to finish. When I came back he was crying so I told him, "Jimmy, I am not happy. You crying doesn't make me happy either so stop crying" and on that note he stopped.
4. Had lunch with Wisdom class for a change and, for fun, we made a huge human kimbop with the class mat. In our kimbop, I represented the vegetables and Charles was the egg. It was all fun and games until the cooks (other Wisdom class students) pretended to eat the kimbop and so they climbed on top! Who sits on their food?!
5. Was snooping around in the huge delivery boxes that arrived in the teachers' room and opened a box only to find a picture of me starring back at me.... I remember having my picture taken but didn't realize it'd be printed out on a few hundred SLP newsletters! As a joke, I took my pen and autographed the first copy!
6. Walking home from work, Jules thought she caught sight of this mysterious white hottie and so we sprinted down the street in hopes of catching a better look. Much to our disappointment, he went into a building and so we failed but I've never laughed so much in my life.
7. Came home to a clean house with clean floors and quiet impressed with Daewoo until I realized that his "toilet paper" was also clean. Now how does a growing puppy not have to do his "number 2 duties" all day? Question was answered when I took him out for a walk and he conviently unloaded like a year's supply of "number 2" in my apartment stairwell! He was quiet proud to show me too... I almost think he was saving it for me. Nasty!
8. Started planning my Christmas Wishlist with high hopes of buying all these things for myself...only sure way the list will be completed. I leave the baby grand piano for someone else to buy me.
9. Went out with Young Un and Woo and realized that Korean men are definitely the way to go if you're looking fo r an ultimately sweet dude that's tons of giggles and good times.
10. Got word that even the Korean men are aware of this mysterious white man...Woo told me that this guy trains at the gym and his name is Travis....still not convinced that a good looking white man lives in Korea!
(It was an eventful day, hence the extra highlights)
11. Went out with Young Un and Woo. Young Un had to leave early but Woo and I got into such a good discussion. It's nights like this that I wonder why I'd ever go back to Canada....Koreans are so generous and kind-hearted.
12. It's official.....I've ranked Korean men (Korean people in general) among the TOP most beautiful people I've met so far in my short life.
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Children are meant to cry, if they weren't, they wouldn't have been born with tear glands.
-- Me... Amy!
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
