As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of My Day...Friday September 23

1. Random early morning calls from Je Min started up again today.... first call was at 3am!
2. Woke up to my last day with Paulo in Korea.
3. Not looking to my faithful side-kick (Paulo) leaving but am looking forward to getting back to my training and strict diet.
4. Rushed off to work and realized five minutes into arriving at school that my pants had this unusual smell to them. It wasn't until much later that I realized they must have been sprayed by Daewoo or something along that lines.... nasty!!!
5. My Wisdom class worked so hard this week at earning their Friday special treat at snack time and what did I do.... I forgot it! I felt so bad but we'll have it on Monday.
6. Had Paulo join my Dream class for a class period and thought it so cool how much certain students have warmed up to him... especially Patty!
7. Paulo picked me up from school and I was a bit embarrassed and surprised at who and how his leaving was addressed (and his stay here too for that matter).
8. Left work with no intentions of returning but then stepped back and told myself that my job is to teach children and not to teach the "others".... I'm not interested in their politics cause I'm a teacher and not a politician.
9. Went out for dinner with Paulo to the same place with went with Louis on Wednesday, the patio restaurant. My buddy there was ALL smile when he saw me walk in, I guess this means I'm somewhat of a regular now.
10. Thought it amusing to see four waitresses argue over who'd wait on our table. They all ended up serving us and were totally checking out Paulo which was fine with me. The way I look at it, having the waitresses favor Paulo means our food gets out to us faster, but my buddy is the meat cutter and so I have the upper hand here cause it means we get better meat! Beat that Paulo!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How far is too far?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.
