As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of My Day...Sunday September 11

1. Had sausages and eggs for breakfast and realized that this will be the closest I'll ever get to a good old Canadian bacon and eggs breakfast.
2. Got into a confusing conversation with a Korean lady at the LotteMart who knew VERY little English. She insisted on my number and I guess I misunderstood her cause when I said "my handphone" she hit me on the arm, jokingly but still hard. Turns out she wanted my school's number.
3. Started training Daewoo tricks...his first trick, sit. Training isn't going too good though.
4. Daewoo has taught himself a trick...jump up on the couch and then jump unto the bed. I'm not impressed with his new skill.
5. Continued my search for my favorite Korean song and ventured to a music store near the mall. The salesman didn't know the song and so he called his friend and had me sing it on the phone. This must be a common thing in Korea, calling up buddies for customers. What was most impressive was when his friend came to the store and found it for me.
6. Got all dressed up for a trip downtown Cheonan to watch a movie starring Mark Simmons, Egerton Marcus and Troy Ross (friends from Canada...boxers) and apparently I was a week early.
7. Came out looking so bad when I introduced Paulo to Chung Hung (who knows very limited English) as "my friend from Canada" without even thinking. Opps...I totally put my foot in my mouth this time.
8. Still have no working cell phone and so yet another day of being free from Je Min's constant text messaging crazy sprees.
9. Well I've got good and bad news.... good news is I just saved about $15,000 on my wedding. Bad news is that there is no wedding.
10. Don't worry.... after a drama full evening, the wedding is back on. Close call though.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How do you know if what you know is right...Epistemology?!

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.
