1. Woke up to Daewoo being a terrible two....2 month baby that is!
2. Went out for a dinner date with the hottest Porkchop... Mr. Pilo! And I'm not talking about the hottest Porkchop in Korea either cause he's probably the ONLY!
3. First person I ran into right after getting out of the taxi downtown Cheonan was Je Min.... either he didn't see me or he pretended not to see me cause I was with Paulo. Either way, he looked homely and so I didn't feel comfortable approaching him.
4. And to think I use to think that all Koreans looked the same....walking around Yawoori I saw a lot of random Indian guys and was convinced every one of them was that one rude one I had a bad run-in with Louise a few weeks ago.
5. Cruised around downtown Cheonan with Pilo and realized that we are probably the only ones that understood the English songs blasting from all the shops.... unless they like Eminem's profound lyrics.
6. Most expensive part of my day, shilling out $15,000 won ($16 CDN) for jelly belly candies that are for sure to only end in a stomach ache.
7. Ventured out to the Yawoori Mall to watch my Canadian boys (Egerton Marcus, Troy Amos-Ross, and Mark Simmons) on the big screen in the movie "Cinderella Man".
8. I for sure had to be the loudest movie watcher in that theater as I cheered on my Canadian boys and yelled out "punch him!"
9. As all the movie goers filed out of the theater, I stood there alone awaiting my boys' names in the credits... I was so happy and so proud of them. Left the theater still cheering them on!
10. Meet Korea's nicest taxi driver who gave me a lecture in Korean about wasting my money.... gave him wrong directions.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Did you answer my new poll question on my blog?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
"Why isn't he standing up?!"
-- Mark Simmons' big line in "Cinderella Man"
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
