2. Got all dolled up for work... hip-hugging pencil skirt, pin-strip blouse, sweet black suit jacket and stiletto heels. I was dressed for success and definitely dressed to impress. Showed up for work, expecting to teach two classes but, as it turned out, students are still signing up for classes and so only one student showed up for my class. She's a 24 year-old student who'll be graduating this year. I was so flattered when she stood up and bowed to me. I love people with awesome manners... manners go a long way with me, wow!
3. So, with no students coming out to classes today, I hung around the teacher's room and meet my fellow co-workers. I'll be working with 11 other foreign teachers and so that's definitely different than last year at the middle school where I was the ONLY foreign teacher. There's another Amy here and so now I go by Michelle at school. Felt so weird being called Michelle...ha, ha, ha.
4. Things with Kim Tae have have gone from uncomfortable to sad. I had asked him to help me out with some banking and as we said good-bye, I asked him where he had parked his truck. Turns out he
got into a car accident today and apparently wasn't planning on telling me. He didn't elaborate on it, instead, he turned and walked away. Could he have made me feel any worse, probably not. Nice... thanks. 5. Holy message marathon with MAc... ha, ha, ha. I figured out who you remind me of. Do you remember "Buzz Lightyear" off of the movie "Toy Story"?! Totally! Do me one favor, say, "To infinity and beyond" for me... ha, ha, ha. Good stuff.
6. Had planned to head out to Songtan to celebrate my new position as "Professor Michelle" and so I headed to the Cheonan subway. Ended up having quite an amusing time while waiting for the train. As the train stopped, out rushed this Korean girl and her two friends. She rushed to the other side of the subway platform to puke but ended up puking everywhere... and I mean EVERY where... yikes! It was so nasty and as everyone else rushed past to leave the platform I felt somewhat obligated to warn everyone about the mad puddles of puke. Four high school boys were quite impressed and amused at my Korean cause there I stood waving my arms and making this huge public announcement about the mess and there they stood taking pictures of me on the cell phones. It was quite funny actually. Ha, ha, ha.
7. Arrived in Songtan still laughing over the subway situation. Hooked up with Gangster Boy and off we went to go dance up a storm. Ended up running into Tin Grin. He was doing the whole "I'm too cool to dance" thing though. Silly boys.
8. Ended up getting swept off my feet by this dude Jerome who swung me on to the dance floor for some crazy salsa dancing. Holy cardio workout! I was twisting, turning, spinning round and round, and laughing my head off. Turns out Jerome is quite the football player and plays against Gangster Boy. I for warned him to be easy on Gangster Boy or I'd be all in his face... ha, ha, ha. I'm sure he'd like that though, jokes.
9. As Jerome (now referred to as Mr. Smooth Move) rushed off to meet Air Force curfew and I headed towards my hotel room, he ended up forgetting his backpack and jacket back at the club. Well, we all remember the whole purse situation with me back in Canada (like I really need to be reminded) and so as soon as I got word that he had forgotten his stuff, I bolted it back to the club. I raced back in my
stiletto heels and saved the night, sweet! My reward... a personal invite back for breakfast in the morning. Not just any kind of breakfast though.. a home cooked western breakfast consisting of bacon, eggs, and all the fixings! Sweet!!!
10. Was about to call it a night but then I ran into Choi. He had just finished cleaning up at work and so we walked, talked, and ate mundu together. I had no idea how hard this guy works, wow. During the day he's a stock boy at a store on base and then at night he bartends. Was kind of embarrassed though to find out he doesn't always understand my English. I had originally thought he was American/Korean but apparently not. He's pure Korean, cool.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Where did you learn to dance?

It is my first time to put a comment in here. Let's call it as starting. You have lots of friends who really care about you. Also you treat them good. keep doing what you suppose to do. It's a beautiful saturday night!! ㅋㅋ
Glad to hear that your first day went well. So good that you got to start off slow; although I imagine it was a little anti-climatic considering you were all geared up and ready to go! I have a feeling you're going to love the university atmosphere; I know I did.
