As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Saturday, February 17

1. After a long restless trip filled with nasty airplane food, swollen feet, mocha balls with my Japanese sitting partner, loads of jokes and giggles with the flight attendants, endless gazing out the window, movies with the Korean guy, I finally arrived two hours late in Japan.
2. With only 40 minutes until my connecting flight was to take off, I hustled through the crowd and bolted it to the boarding gate. I arrived just in the nick of time... cool!
3. My flight to Japan was a short one so there was no movie or music provided. Mind ya, they did however serve a meal and, I'm convinced, if I see another airplane meal I'm going to be sick.
4. I didn't have any sitting partners on this flight and so I was able to spread out on all three chairs and catch about an hour of some much needed sleep... finally!
5. Finally hour what felt like endless days of travel, I arrived in Korea. I was greeted at the airport by an overly smiley Kim Tae. He drove me home where I was then incredibly shocked and so happy to arrive to a spotless, sweet smelling home. Kim Tae had cleaned it inside and out.
6. Oh my gosh... my baby, Mi Nam. Since I've been away he's blown up in size and is quite the little man now! Wow! He looks like he's gained about 5 lbs, his shoulders are more broad, his head grew a bit and so now his ears don't look so overbearing on his head, and although he still looks like a puppy, he's really starting to look like a strong bulldog. I was so happy to see him and so within a minute or two of me smothering him with kisses and hugs, I was covered from head to toe with his white fur...ㅋㅋㅋ
7. On a sad note, I think I totally broke Kim Tae's heart tonight. Tonight he surprised me with this heart box of chocolates and an awesome Valentine's Day picture show on my computer that he had taken so much time to plan. I watched it... wow! He then presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
8. It was brilliant... it was beautifully innocent and incredibly sweet BUT I killed it and ended it there by telling him that I think this will be my last year in Korea. I can't be to him what he deserves and what is right. He deserves someone who's just as in love with him as he is with them. I am not that girl.
9. And on that note, he left. I felt like the worse person alive.
10. Trying to fall asleep was out of the question and so instead I chatted online with Kobe and Yong and then started to unpack.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Can we just go back to where we use to be?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go.
