As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Sunday, February 25

1. Dang... no bacon and eggs for breakfast! Was expecting Trouble Boy to venture out this morning and have breakfast with me but when he shrugged me off (I'm assuming he had "company" over), I decided it best to just go home to Cheonan.
2. Well he found me... Crazy Casey from last night searched me out and found me on MySpace. I'm cool with meeting new people and joking around but he's all dead set on bringing me to Seoul for some punk show. Hmm... jumping around in a pit full of super hyper, super drunk, sweaty young kids and having to listen to pounding music that'll probably leave me with ringing ears for a few days isn't really want I define as fun. New experience, yes, but fun... no.
3. Well my morning consisted of emailing random people (Andi you still haven't written back... hmm) and laying around the floor with Mi Nam.
4. Am convinced I pulled a muscle in my side... ouch! After having such a lazy morning and totally unproductive afternoon, I decided it'd be a good idea to crank up the music and bust out some crazy dance moves. Five songs later and one stupid dance moves too many, I was hurting...ha, ha, ha.
5. Acquired a new nickname today... "Smartie". When I came back to Korea I had brought with me 32 boxes of Smarties (Canadian candy similar to M&Ms, but better... of course). I handed out so many boxes but still have a few remaining boxes in my fridge. I try not to eat sweets but it's so hard to resist. When I had asked Kobe what Smartie I was, I couldn't help but laugh when he designated me a yellow Smartie, how appropriate! Ok, so that's one more nickname to add to the already long list of nicknames people call me.

My Nicknames:

Bere Bum
Yorky Bere
Polska Bere
Baby Bere
Lead Bum
Polish Bum
Ghetto Bum
Blondie
Mama Pump
Ms. Giggle Pants

6. I admit it, I was way too lazy today and too comfortable hanging around the house in my Sunday whities to go get food and so I tried my hardest to be creative with what to eat. Let's see, breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee and a box of Smarties (I couldn't resist). Lunch consisted of about 3 cups of green tea, a protein shake, a spoon of peanut butter and a massive can of pineapples. By the time dinner came around, I was dying of hunger and so I took the elevator down to the GS Store on the 1st floor and got kimbab, ramyun and milk. In between all these totally hurting meals, I'm sure I ate a few mouth fulls of lip gloss... I'm addicted to the Body Shops' new high shine gloss... wow!
7. Jane... you're the coolest! Thanks for all the awesome emails and comments! Wow! You always brighten my day. Today I was kind of sad because I talked to Kobe on msn and we're both missing each other a lot. But, after I got off msn with him, I noticed an email from you. Thanks!
8. Kobe... how the heck you got under my skin (in a good way that is) is beyond me but I do miss you. You really made my vacation awesome and I am blessed having you in my life, thanks!
9. And Do Chun... you like talking more than my mom, wow! I thought that was impossible, apparently not. Glad to hear that you finally got a hold of the movie "Hitch". Will Smith definitely has game in that movie!
10. Ran into my Friendly Neighbor and, like always, she got abusive and hit me right across the shoulder. She said she missed me but I think she just missed hitting me cause with me gone, she had no one else to push around...ha, ha, ha. She's cool. I don't understand some of the stuff she says and I don't know why she ALWAYS insists on hitting me but I like her.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Anyone want to come to Japan with me?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I like to watch.
-- Do Chun
