As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Wednesday, February 21

1. Wow, I leave the country for three weeks and Korea goes and changes it's currency. They've changed the look, made them smaller and then made the pink 1000 won bill blue. I personally liked the bigger sized bills... made me feel richer.
2. Despite the warm weather that greeted me back to Korea, I still believe Canada's sky is prettier. It may be warm out and yesterday I walked around with a t-shirt on, but looking up to a grayish blue sky just isn't so sweet.
3. Played a hardcore game of indoor soccer with Mi Nam and twisted my ankle a bit when I tried to trick him and go in for the goal. Mi Nam kicked my butt though.
4. Trying to get a new bank card, which should have been easy, turned into a tour around Cheonan. They said I was lucky to be reissued a card considering I don't have my alien card anymore (both cards were in my stolen purse). Lucky... me? May I remind them I had to deal with THEM! I consider them lucky that there were witnesses and so I couldn't freak out. Ok, so it wasn't that bad but I almost got royally screwed over.
5. Both Mi Nam and I had doctor's appointments today. I had to visit the skin specialist again about my allergic reaction and, like routine, they gave me a shot in the butt! Unfortunately, this time it was more like getting stabbed. It seems like no matter what you go in for at the doctor's here in Korea, they're always so eager to shot ya in the butt. My legs hurt... needle in the butt. I have a cold... needle in the butt. My head aches... needle in the butt. I think they just like my Polish butt... ㅋㅋㅋ
6. When I returned to Korea last Saturday I had noticed a little bit of skin troubles on Mi Nam and so today Kim Tae and I took him to the vet. And, like always, Mi Nam got sick being in the car. Thankfully this time he puked when we got out... it was more like an emergency "jump-out now or else" situation though.
7. Impressing the socks off the vet with my Korean was definitely cool. Mind ya, he kind of reacted funny when I knew the word for penis... I picked that word up from my kindergarten kids oddly enough! Now I'm stuck with having to decide on whether or not I should neuter my little guy. Hmmm.... Having to hold him down while the vet picked at his skin and did testing was hard enough for me, but now having to decide on this one, ya, Mi Nam's really not impressed. The vet says it'll calm him down... calm him down? What? Any more calmer and he'll be dead! Mi Nam only really plays when I initiate it and he only walks around cause he's following me around the house.
8. Sushi time!!! A few years ago you wouldn't catch me dead eating raw fish, but now, wow... I'm all over it like a fat kid on a smartie, dang!!!
9. Text message chats on my cell with Do Chun lead way for one funny chat via msn and web cam. Ya, that's right... I used your Korean name as oppose to your English name. I like it better cause the name "Johnny" is the name of one of my more "interesting fans" here...ㅋㅋㅋ
10. My poor Mi Nam is now Mr. Cone Head... he seems quite depressed having to wear it and I feel embarrassed for him but he has to wear it. Having to rub Mi Nam's ointment on him and then squirting medicine into his mouth before we go to bed really sucked and so I babied him large and let him sleep on my mat with me.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Snip or don't snip?
