As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Thursday, June 28

1. Headed out to Osan to meet up with Young Chan. We then jumped on a bus and ventured out to Seoul. Today plans were to get my camera screen fixed.
2. Had the ever so classic, always dreaded and uncomfortable chat with Young Chan about why I refuse to date a friend. Anyone who knows me from Canada most likely knows about the whole Lee mishap where one of my best friends from grade school pushed the issue of "couple hood" on me in university. We had been such close friends for the longest time and I didn't want it to change. Risking our friendship wasn't worth it to me... apparently he thought different and so still to this day, like 5 years later, we're still struggling to make amends. And what about Drama Boy too.... point proven. I REFUSE to venture into that again!!!
3. Dating good friends, no thanks,... but dating someone who's more like a casual friend, a not-so-close friend who originally I was attracted to, ... that's different. And as it stands, there's only two people in my life that fit this description. One's in Canada and one's here in Korea.
4. Spent most of the day at the COEX Mall, which is like this massive spider web of interweaving halls, mounds of stores mashed with lots of coffee shops and eateries.... it's so confusing to get any bearings in it though.
5. Got my camera fixed... for a pretty lump sum of $100 CDN. Mind ya, considering the camera is worth about $400 CDN, I figured it was worth it.
6. I was definitely like a kid in a candy store when we walked into this electronics store. The sweet little handheld video cameras caught my eye and so it was sensory overload for me. The guys in the store had a good giggle as I "ohhhed" and "auhhhed"... hehehe.
7. Young Chan is convinced I'm going with him to Lotte World on Tuesday. Lately I've been such a homebody and so the thought of spending all day out in the sun with hyper kids, long lines, and the smell of cotton candy and cheap food, doesn't really interest me. Moreover, the fact that someone was flung off one of the rides this past year and died doesn't really do much for convincing me either. All day today though, I had to listen to him pleading me to go.... correction, he's insisting. I have till Sunday to come up with a legit excuse.... hehehe.
8. After being super silly and goofing around in the mall with Young Chan, it was time for me to head back. Young Chan was convinced I'd get lost and so he was sweet enough to escort me right to the bus terminal... thanks dude.
9. Got mad props at the gym by this older man who was spotting me while I lifted the weights. Buff Boy came over to say hi and then the older man broke out in all these comments and compliments about me... sweet! I understood most of what he said except for the part that made Buff Boy totally blush... hmmm... interesting!
10. My evening plan was to meet up with my coworkers to go see the movie "Transformers". I went not expecting much cause I don't really like animation movies nor do I like far-fetched ideas. I mean, when was the last time my toy grew larger than life and talked to me... come on people!!! Well, I was wrong... it was AWESOME! I was really impressed. It was cute, funny, action-packed, and I really enjoyed it, much to my surprise! I even got a bit emotional when "The guardian" almost died... what's up with that?! He's a robot!!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Are they going to make a G.I. Joe movie?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Die Autobots!
-- Megatron (from the movie "Transformers")

Yo b-man,

Oddly enough, I can't laugh at you for getting emotional during a movie. The old Amy, back in Canada, would have a field day on this comment of yours but now I'm all about the sensitive dudes... hehehe

Never seen the movis though.

As for the camera, the one in the dizzy picture is Young Chan's camera... and that costs about 500, probably more. His is a touch screen... super cool.
