As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Wednesday, October 24

1. I figured after all that Junior Mint has done for me (and given me), the least I could do was pick him up some chumchi kimbab as I raced off to training. Arrived, with kimbab in hand, and dang... no Junior Mint. Apparently he was out of town this morning to coach a match.

2. Now considering the info I found out about my much loved chumchi kimbab, like how fatty it really is, there was no way on God's green earth I was going to touch it. So, instead of indulging in it, I gave it to Mi Nam. He loved it!

3. Did my monthly stop at the bank to pay my housing bills. They've changed managers and so I no longer get the royal treatment, or the VIP lounge for that matter... BUT... the security man working there still opens the door for me when he sees me and rushes over to grab me a ticket number. That's cool enough for me. I'm just a local Cheonanite now, hehehe...

4. Had anticipated taking Mi Nam to Dankook to introduce him to some of my coworkers. I was rushed for time as it was but I decided to give him a bath. Honestly, and I know this sounds strange, but I much prefer the dirty Mi Nam over the freshly cleaned Mi Nam. I bath him every Wednesday but on Tuesday night, he smells perfect. He's a little boy... boys are supposed to be dirty.

5. He doesn't really care for bath time but he loves the towel-dry time that comes after it. He always gets so excited, after which he then passes out for a good hour. Today I joined him and so we both crashed on the floor for a nice afternoon nap.

6. After a grueling bicep and shoulder session at weight training, I then waited about 2 hours and then headed back to the boxing club cause Junior Mint had returned to Cheonan.

7. Congrats to Black Skinny!!! Today he had a huge match and won the championship title. I over hear Junior Mint proudly giving all the details of the match as numerous guys sat intensely listening on the couch.

8. Not too sure how many rounds his fight lasted but apparently, if I heard correctly, Black Skinny won $5000 for that one fight!!! Dang... that's a lot of milk money... hehehe.

9. ATTENTION THOSE WHO LIVE IN KOREA... two of my team mates have a HUGE match on Friday so watch the KBS Sports channel (I think it's channel 56). It starts at either 1pm or 2pm. Look for Jae Myoung (재명) and Jae Sub (재섭). Jae Sub is Panty Boy Junior and he'll be the fight you'll really like cause he's a young guy (about 22) and is really strong. He'll give a good show... check it out!!!

10. After everyone left the club, I stuck around to help Junior Mint clean up. I hung up the laundry while he vacuumed. Yup... I'm totally a gym rat, and I love it!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Do you do what you love?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog that matters.
