1. Spent a good chunk of my day visiting one of my former students in the hospital as he underwent a 4 hour surgery to reconstruct part of his face. None of his family had come today and so he texted me, asking me to be there for him. I had given him my number last time I visited, telling him to use it whenever he is feeling lonely, down, or whatever. I got a chance to talk to him before the surgery but after he was pretty much drugged-up but he got kind of emotional on me cause his family wasn't there when he was really scared.
2. Finally got around to updating my page on BodyBuilding.com.
3. Indulged in one massive scoop of extra creamy peanut butter… and it felt so good to be so bad, well, bad in terms of my diet… hehehe.
4. Yup, I’m in love... so I'll understand if "you" stop calling me, really.
5. In 3 days I’ll be going to the SG Wanna Be concert with Q… cool! This will be my first official band concert I have ever gone to and so today I cranked up some tunes by SG Wanna Be. I plan on being that foreign girl in the group belting out the tunes with the rest of them… hehehe.
6. On account that I was at the hospital for most of the day, I didn’t go to boxing training. My gym friend, Ju Wan, from Hongik had texted me today saying that she misses me and so I decided to go to Hongik in the evening to do my running and to see her. Had a good laugh when I arrived though. One of the walking ajjumas was there… ahhh… the curse continues!!!
7. Beat my score the other day by burning 743 calories today with my hour long run… sweet! Honestly, it feels so good running and there’s definitely a natural high that goes along with it but when I finish my run, yikes. The sweat seems to go cold, sending a brutal chill throughout my body, my heart struggles to slow down, and my legs seem to go all jelly-like. Not fun.
8. Q called me up tonight. He was out eating with coworkers but he wanted to ask me how much I loved him. “Many manys” was my response; he giggled… hehehe.
9. Studied like a mad woman today. Writing and rewriting things. Checking over my homework answers, quizzing myself on my vocab, and talking out loud. I’m sure Mi Nam must have picked up some new words… hehehe. Tomorrow I will be having my level one Korean language exam.. yikes. I feel like I just got thrown back into my university days, cramming all night and trying to make up silly songs to remember the info.
10. After spending an hour or so writing out ALL 300 some new vocab words on a study sheet, I ended up falling asleep, only to wake up and notice that the words were ALL GONE!!! Oh my gosh… what happened?! Oh, how embarrassing… I drooled on the paper and spoiled the ink… redo!!!
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Any suggestions on how I can better retain all these vocab words?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
When you come to the edge of all the light you know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen: there will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.

As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

To attempt to answer your question of the day, I can only share what the professor of the vocabulary class I took last summer told me. You have to "touch" the words many different times in many ways. For example, crossword puzzles, matching exercises, gap fills, etc. In other words you have to have extensive exposure to the words in order to make them meaningful and to help them stick in your mind. That's all I got. :)
Hi Beloved,
Thanks for the help. I tried to make a song of the words, I even went so far as to infest my house with post-it notes with them on it... hehehehe.
I can say just whan word of you Amy,...respect,..and again respect, your commitment to EVERYTHING is fabulous!!
Hey Amy. Will be interesting to see how you look just before you fight. I'm expecting rock hard abs of titanium (better than just regular steel, or even Blue Steel ^^) and body that will just be more sexier than now ^^ By best Cardin workout has been 650 cal. Going back to the gym on Monday, gotta lose some weight for the summer. LOL. Promised some friends I'd be going to Haeundae. LOL
Hi Vbuuren,
Thanks sweety!
Yo Andy,
Titanium eh?!... hehehe, cool. Q already is making comments about my body, saying that it's losing it's "softness"... I take it as a compliment.
I'm curious about how many calories my boxing training kills... should be a retardedly high number cause after it I honestly don't have much energy to do anything else. Wonder how much your hapkido butt-kicking burns, too.
