1. Raced off to Seoul today all pumped about starting level 2 Korean… ya, I’m such a geek, so what… hehehe.
2. Am nursing a strained muscle on my side on account that I don’t think I stretched properly yesterday and so today I paid the price for that.
3. On my way home from Seoul, I got a phone call from Panty Boy. I vented to him about my dieting and how it’s been very discouraging. He claimed he had something to “do the trick” and so I agreed to meet up with him before training.
4. Panty Boy secret to dieting success was in the form of some drink. At first glance I thought it was a protein shake but it smelt too good and went down too smoothly to be that. It was delicious but he warned me not to drink the whole thing at once.
5. No sooner had he left but I gulped the rest of the bottle down.
6. By the time I arrived back to my apartment I was craving the toilet… seriously! My tummy was grumbling and I thought I was going to be sick. Turns out his “secret drink” was none other than milk mixed with a melted substance similar to exslax!!!
7. Sat on the toilet for a good 40 minutes…. Yikes!
8. Needless to say, training today was a bit uncomfortable. Not only was I not feeling up to par cause of being nervous of having to wait it out on the toilet, but I had just "lost" all the food I had in my tummy and so I felt like I was running on empty... not fun; not good.
9. Well I finally did it… again. I cheated on She Ann with the same girl that dyed my hair the other day. Today she cut my hair… and I mean CUT!!! Chopped it right off, about 3 inches of hair!
10. I love my new hair cut. It’s definitely a cute little bob, maybe a bit too early to get it so short, but nonetheless, it’s great for working out. No more getting my hair caught on my zipper or my sweater hoodies. My hair feels so light now and I always love a fresh new style.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What exactly was in that drink?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Patterning your life around other's opinions is nothing more than slavery.
-- Lawana Blackwell
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
