As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

I complained today about my left eye, it's still black. Q turned to me and said, ''It's your pride!" and he's right. I shouldn't be so shy about my black left eye. I may have lost my fight but at least I gave a good fight and so I should be proud of that.

Be proud of your black eye, Am. You gave a great fight. You have more guts than me to step into that ring. I am sure most people would agree with me by saying that regardless of if you won or lost the game by points you still came out a winner. No one can take away your heart and passion for boxing and so I respect ya for it and think you are one kick ass gal.

Yo Drew,
Ok., ok... I'll be proud of it. Getting weird looks from the locals though who all think my man beats me... hehehe.
True... I hear ya on that one. It'll be hard to heal my heart on this loss but I still am very much in love with my boxing, for sure.
Thanks for the encouraging words sweety. You've always been so good to me.
