As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

I had a dream and I'm living it NOW.
I couldn't agree more with the Resident but it's sad to note that so many people give up on their dreams... they settle. You only get one life, why settle?!

Sometimes settling isn't that bad. Rather than going for the best, the tolerate enough. Sometimes, all people want and/or need, is enough.

Yo Andy,
I guess so... but settling isn't something I want to do. I know everyones has their own different situation, circumstances, and reasons for why and where they are but... we all create our destiny. When I was a kid, I NEVER answered the much over-used question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" with, "Settling."
Hellllllllllllllll no!
I guess it all depends on what you really want, what you think is happiness and what you think is success. For me, I always want and expect more for myself. I don't want to grow old and then one day look at my life and say, "Well.. I should have done this, I should have done that..."
It's funny cause one of my brothers is SUCH my opposite. What I view as him settling, he views as success. So, so be it. If he is happy with his life, that is ALL that really matters.

Hi Vbuuren,
You're always so quick to encourage me and shine your smiles on me... thank you ;)
I definitely have a high inner drive. It's 7:26 in the morning here in Korea, I am on holiday and should be resting off my sparring practice, BUT... I am so excited about my upcoming game and so I want to get an early start on the morning.
