As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

As Madonna approaches her 50th birthday this August, I can't help but be amazed by not only her talent and continual stardom but look at her body... yikes!!! Her age may be doing circles around us younger gals, but so is her body! Dang!!!

Hi Vbuuren,
Thanks sweety... I love Madonna's body. I especially love the fact that she disregards her age and doesn't give into this "I'm old now I have to act old" mentality.

Hey Anonymous,
Thanks but a couple MILLION people, if not more, think differently... proof being the fact that she is disgustingly filthy rich! No other female pop singer can compare with her. Whether it was her burning crosses in "Like a Virgin" video, or cone-shaped bras, Madonna has taken things to a higher level, pushed the limit, and definitely has set the bar high.

Dear Amy,

With all due respect, if being "filthy rich" is the measure of talent and sucess, then you're absolutely right; there are a "million" shallow sheople who would agree in this whimsical and temporal definition. I've always thought "talent" is something which transcents time, culture, generations, and eternal.

Fortunately, there are those who view "talent" without much fanfare of shameless and self-degrading approach like this "pop" star.

Reality is that people with musical background/training don't think very highly of this "pop" star, whether musically, vocally, and stylistically. Though they would agree this "pop" star gets an "A" in sheer audacious approach in shocking, tantilzing, grossing, degrading and de-sensitizing her youthful sheople, ahem fans. Ultimately, what is the redeeming value of this approach after discarding all the "shallowness" from it?

If you truly want to see woman muscians with class, style, and most importantly, talent, you might want to go to youtube and Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Christy Hines, Janice Joplin, Stevie Nicks.

Here are couple of videos of talented women.

Hi William,
Wow... thanks for the response. I always love people speaking their mind, or I guess in this case, writing their mind ;)
Unlike you however, I really do like Madonna's songs. I don't really follow celebrities personal lives and so I only know her from what I hear in her songs and see in her videos. I agree though, she has definitely pushed things but I think many have pushed things in a much different way... Britney Spears, Janet Jackson.. to name a couple.
But as for REAL class, do you know Sade?! She's incrediably beautiful, talented and quite the lady... no doubt about that.
I'll check out the ladies you mentioned though.
Thanks for the comments... much respect to you.

She's got an old song which is very sultry:

...a cool song to listen to while slow-dancing w/ your sweetheart. ;)
