1. Introduced Q to the wonderful world of French toast and he gobbled them all up. Mind ya, he didn't get the "real experience" cause the stores didn't sell any kind of syrup and so we slapped on peach jam.
2. With Q off to his grandma's house, I had the whole day to work on my midterm review Power Point file... but spent way too much of this time dancing, hence the silly dance video.
3. A friend of mine had asked me the other day to help him out with his English homework, ignorantly I agreed... wrong move. It was a legal case and, given his level of English and the fact that this was for an English law university class, I struggled on dissecting the meaning of it. Just because I speak English doesn't mean I could understand this mumble-jumble law paper. Actually, it got me quite frustrated and so I called up a friend in Canada, a law student.
4. Ended not even really helping out my friend with his law paper. I think I just confused him more. So be it. I was super stressed with the stuff on my own plate and was already mentally drained from carefully balancing my own things.
5. Am slowly becoming more and more addicted to lists. I've got a "things you must have to experience Korea" list, a list of my CDS, favorite songs,... and I realized this today when I sat down and found myself a list of what to do today. Now, this wasn't just any kind of "to-do" list. I had written down strange things like put away laundry, go get a coffee at Coffee Bean, and find my MP3. Today's to-list consisted of 44 things... first thing being "write a to-do list for today"... hehehe.
6. Nice... accidentally a pocket full of change in the wash machine. No problem, just open it, right?! Wrong. Once you press start the machine door locks and considering I had set it to wash AND dry, this meant the change went round and round for FOUR HOURS!!!... it was SO loud!
7. Finally got down to business, school work that is. I had all day to do my midterm review Power Point but had just barely touched it.
8. Finished it... 86 Power Point screens later!!! Mind ya, it includes a note to all my students, a midterm practice exam, the answers, and a collect of screens from all my lectures.
9. Took Mi Nam out for a late night walk and I have no idea what he was thinking but Mi Nam spontaneously decided to jump at a moving car. How dangerous was that?! We had stepped aside for it to pass but just as it was passing, Mi Nam jumped up and clipped the bumper.
10. The guys in the car thought it was funny, I didn't. Not too sure what Mi Nam was thinking about it though.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What is the IQ level of a French bulldog?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I have always thought the actions of men the best interpreters of their thoughts.
-- John Locke
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
