As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Friday, July 25

1. Mi Nam is definitely overusing his “cute card” by thinking he can frequently get away with an extra explosive, nose-itching, hair-curling, tummy-turning, stinky bum… nasty!!!

2. So much still to do and so little time, so I’ll keep today’s post short. Feeling like I am writing words into thin air is no better than talking to myself… crazy.

3. Limiting my packing to one suitcase, a carry-on and a purse is like… I don’t know… telling Mi Nam he can’t toot in the house… impossible.

4. Most of my luggage consists of gifts and so I am seriously thinking of scraping the whole idea of bringing clothes and instead just buy my outfits as I need them, in Canada.

5. Spent a good chunk of my day working on a little something-something I have surprised for Q. I’ve made it so that it’d literally be impossible for him to forget about me while I am gone and not miss me…. hehehe.

6. Having KBS pay me for “Love in Asia”, cool… having to hand over a good chunk of that money to Junior Mint (coach/manager), not so cool… but expected and understood.

7. Had some down time with Mi Nam in the afternoon and so we laid on the couch together… he’s so flipping cute, seriously. I told Q tonight that while I am gone that he has to talk to Mi Nam everyday, kiss Mi Nam everyday, walk him everyday… treat him like a 5 year-old little boy. I know, I know… he’s a dog, but he’s anything but just a dog to me.

8. It was all talk tonight at boxing. Junior Mint, along with many others, eagerly asked me about my trip to Canada. Poor Q tried to train but they kept on interrupting him with questions also.

9. Scored two UP Boxing Club t-shirts for Canada…. Sweet! Club t-shirts are always so hard to get a hold of cause Junior Mint has stopped getting them printed for the club but tonight he searched the club storage and found two, cool!

10. A late night trip to the new Lotte Super (as in supermarket), revealed to me my true love for Korean food when even the strangest of kimchi and eye-bulging bloated fish looked delicious to me and I totally eyed other Korean foods… hehehe. Ah Korean food… I will miss you my delicious friend.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What has changed more, Canada or me?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
There is nothing permanent except change.
