As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Wednesday, July 23

1. Missed my 8:45am bus only to then miss my 9am bus and have to take the 9:10am bus. I blame it on the empty container of “Animal Pak” sitting on my kitchen counter. For those of you who don’t know Animal Pak it’s a container full of daily individually wrapped multivitamins that I’ve been taking for a good few months or so. Cause of my high protein, low carbs diet, I rarely eat things like fruit and diary products and so the vitamins and minerals my body needs and would get if I were eating them, well, it doesn’t get, hence Animal Pak. Each pack contains 11 vitamins, minerals and amino acids that my body needs. I didn’t think that taking it really made a difference until the other day when I ran out… now I am feeling it.

2. … must… buy… mooooooooooore… ANIMAL PAK!!!

3. Am fully aware that arriving in Canada empty handed, with no gifts for certain people, will only score me dirty looks from those dog-sledding, igloo-living people in the Great White North… hehehe. And so with a short gift list in hand, I did some shopping today in Seoul.

4. One gift for them, one gift for me… or so it felt. It’s just so hard to resist those sellers with their free service, huge discounts and already retarded low prices. For $30 CDN, I bought a pair of jeans, 2 tank tops and a dress…. That’s Korean shopping for ya folks!!!

5. Scored 12th most viewed today on YouTube in South Korea for my video “Because THEY asked”. Over 2,500 people viewed it in one day… yikes! With just goes to show you, my other videos that took me super long to ponder over, make, edit and then post can’t compete with showing some skin and flexing. The video had absolutely no plot line or substance except for the fact that it was meant as a flex video, and only that.

6. Nominated myself for the “You’re SO Cool” award after I knocked over my glass of water onto my laptop…

7. … not once but twice!!!

8. The honeymooners have returned and so Black Skinny came into the club today looking like a big piece of charcoal with long legs… hehehe. He brought us all rice cake, which I am truly addicted to, and so Junior Mint stuffed some of it into my bag, nice!

9. Training tonight was painful and with every giggle I gave out, it was followed by me leaning over and grabbing my side. Ohhhhhh… my kidney!!!

10. Later in the evening Q came over and asked me for my banking info. Turns out KBS wants to pay me for my appearance on “Love in Asia”…. Sweet!!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Are you giving your body what it needs?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
The body is shaped, disciplined, honored, and in time, trusted.
