2. What started off as a friendly wrestling match with Mi Nam ended with blood shed. I thought it’d be funny to pin him down under my blanket… apparently not though. He escaped my grasp and lunged at me. He knows not to bite me but he hasn’t quite caught on to the fact that his claws scratch… ya, ouch!!! My arm now looks like I just fell from a barb-wired fence… not pretty.
3. For the past couple of semesters at Dankook, I’ve been emailing my students every week. I email them my Power Point files, handouts, notices and whatnot. For the most part, entering each semester’s new student’s email addresses is really only the problem. However, this semester most of many students are using Hanmail or Naver and so my Gmail account just isn’t working in sync and so many of them aren’t getting my email. Point of this long babbling is that despite spending several hours typing in all their email addresses and responding to students changing their addresses, tonight I came up with a new idea. “I should make a homepage for my class!” I thought and so, that was exactly what I did. To check it out, click on the link below. Please keep in mind though that it's meant to be as simple as possible so that it is user friendly for even my low-low English level students.

4. Three hours later and I finally had a new homepage up and running for my class. I wasn’t familiar with the new Blogger and so that was a problem but the main problem was finding a free online service in which I could upload all my Power Point files on. I still have some glitches to figure out, like why it changes some of the formatting of my files and whatnot.
5. Grocery shopping tonight consisted of me blowing about sixty bucks on eggs, veggies and sweet potatoes… hehehe. Funny thing is though, my list of veggies only consists of tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, green peppers, and broccoli… but I definitely like to stock up on them!!!
6. Attention shoppers… Korea’s got a new milk!!! Yup, that’s right. Just when my beloved banana milk thought he was the king of the milk shelf, along came some tough new competition… SWEET POTATO MILK!!! My banana milk is safe for now because it’s light banana milk, but I tell ya, when they come out with a light sweet potato milk… look out! Hehehe…
7. With all these kinds of milks here in Korea, I’m surprised that they don’t have a kimchi flavoured milk… then again, maybe that’s next month’s milk… hehehe.
8. As if me heading out of the building with Mi Nam by my side didn’t already grab the attention of the hotties outside my building (because of Mi Nam's snorting and spike collar... not because of me, although I wish), my exploding garbage bag packed with old panties definitely did… oh my gosh. Can you say want to curl up and die?! Seriously!!! With Mi Nam going buck wild and winding his leash around my legs, I scrambled like a frantic woman to pick up the numerous panties. One guy offered to help me but in my total state of embarrassment, I yelled out “NO”. Great, now I’ll be forever known by them, my neighbours, as the foreign panties girl… dang!!!
9. Things have been stupid crazy lately and the more and more I think about it, the more I realize that maybe it’s best I just drop it all and start fresh. Slowly but surely I am turning over another leaf… starting another chapter in my book called life. Last night was the last chapter in my old book. Without getting too much into detail, I’ll say this, no, I am not having a hard time like everyone thinks I am. This is just life, it’s only complicated because we make it and when I think of all the harder days that have passed me, these past couple of weeks are nothing in comparison.
10. So what that I just had surgery, it wasn’t life threatening and it’s not like some back-alley doctor did it. Ya, it sucks that my friend’s father died and my brother had his second baby without me being able to be there for them both but that is life and I can’t do anything about it but be forced to accept it. I don’t want to sit around dwelling on things anymore.. it doesn’t change anything. Yes, it’s been a hard couple of weeks but God wouldn’t give me anything that he knew I couldn’t handle and what doesn’t break you, makes you stronger… I tell myself this everyday. Even if the decisions I am making today are not the best or are wrong for me tomorrow, so be it, there’s no looking back. Like Junior Mint always is telling me, “No back step, always forward moving”. I think that’ll be my new motto and so, this is me, moving forward and not looking back.
