As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Turns out my foot injury is effecting more than just my patience and so my coach made me film me training to prove it. Looks like I'll be taking the doctor's advice after all and nursing my foot cause it's slowing me down in the ring.

Hey Amy,
I forgot to tell you that I really like those pictures of you with the boxing gloves. I put the one on my screensaver for inspiration with my sparring. I might at some point try a real bout. I know you asked me but I sure want to improve first and I’d probably be really nervous.

Wow! I couldn't tell that your right foot was any different, since I don't see many boxing matches, but this is by far the most exciting boxing video I've seen. I could actually see the hard hitting and the effort in each punch, where as on HBO the boxing matches my dad makes me watch almost look fake.

Hey Beth,
Thanks... wow, I'm your screensaver?! That's wicked!!! Hey, did you ask your friend if I could post that picture you sent me on my homepage? What's the deal on that... would love to post it if you both don't mind.
Trust me, I was SUPER nervous for my first fight but once I got past that I started to love it and really feed off the experience. My second fight was definitely much more enjoyable in that I was more relaxed and more prepared. And I also knew what to expect with the cameras, crowd and whatnot and so it felt more familiar.

Yo Bman,
Hahaha... that's lil' bro. Not too sure how exciting it was considering most of those clips where from the 6th round mark and so I was super exhausted. 18 minutes of straight training like that definitely wears ya down. Thanks for the props though!!!
