2. My upcoming opponent comes with quite the experience in the field of amateur boxing but has since gone pro. Regardless, she’s going to be stepping into the ring with a huge advantage over me and so today I started Junior Mint’s time-consuming, energy-killing training schedule set out for me. I don't agree with the training he's making me do in that it's a whole whack of unnecessary cardio work that's only bound to make me lose too much weight and I sense this training schedule to either burn me out quickly or start to stamp out my passion for boxing, both of which I definitely don't want to happen!!!
Today’s Training Schedule:3. Me and my left-foot-nail-less-toe are in pain. I went a little too hardcore on the treadmill and so by the time I finished my weight training my toe was swollen. Ah the joys of being a professional athlete; it’s one injury after another.
9:00am to 10:20am: jogging on the treadmill, followed by weight training
3:00pm to 4:30pm: boxing
9:30pm to 11:00pm: boxing... again
4. Despite having about a million and one tank tops to train in, with only three sports bras and one sweat jacket [a sweat jacket is like a plastic shirt you wear that traps in your body heat and makes you sweat like a mofo; like an animal], laundry has become a required daily routine not only because I need to wear a sports bra and my sweat jacket but have you ever smelt what a lump of clothes smells like after an hour and a half of boxing training?!... exactly. Trust me, you don’t want to smell that!!!
5. Students continue to bother me about their marks, correction, only two of them are bothersome to me, stalker-wanna-be student from Friday and a graduate student who won’t be graduating now because I failed him. I’d love to say sorry but I’m not sorry.
6. The graduate student had informed me just before the midterm that he got a job during the semester and so I repeatedly told him via text messages and emails that he’d have to follow the class homepage I update weekly. He’d be required to do my lecture notes as a kind of self-study and then at the final exam he’d be required to bring in his homework and do the final. Well, he showed up for the final totally clueless not only about the requirements for the exam but also clueless about what my homepage address even is. I can’t help students who don’t try to at least help them selves and so no, I don’t feel sorry for one moment that this student will not graduate. I don’t get paid to be someone’s mother but so often that’s what my students seem to expect me to be. His 23% was me being generous to him.
7. Sat down today and started to make a cookbook of all the health-conscious recipes I’ve collected and made.
My Health-Conscious Cookbook:8. Before I headed off to boxing again, for the second time today, Snickers’ father K-Gere invited me over to the house and surprisingly showed up at my building to pick me up… very nice of him. We sat around the house chatting while Snickers fed his ongoing hobby of eating. I swear sometimes that boy never stops… hahaha. And while K-Gere was cleaning up, I caught a glimpse of a massive bag of garlic in the corner of the kitchen. K-Gere was quick to learn that I loved the pickled onion and garlic he served as a side dish the other day and so apparently he spent a good chunk of his day peeling garlic. How sweet is he?! Like really!!!

9. Hitting the boxing club for the second time today felt a bit off and I didn’t have much energy left after already have had trained for about 3 hours earlier on today. Junior Mint was brutal with me during pad work and I let it be known to him when he allowed me to practice my body shots on him.
10. By the time I came home, showered and quickly ate something, it was already creeping up to 11:30pm and I still had to take Mi Nam for a walk. Mi Nam practically dragged my sorry butt around the block and then I crashed upon returning home.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
When is too much too much?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
To me, boxing is like a ballet, except there's no music, no choreography, and the dancers hit each other.

Hi Edsonfu,
Thanks, it's hard to keep up with it but I've got my priorities in check and winning is my own option in my mind.
