As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Beautiful, strong, powerful, and determined. God really broke the mold with you Ames.
The middle picture of you is proof that you're still the Energy Bunny that I remember from Bloor West Village.
Me and the village boys miss ya girl. Make it a quick fight, knock her out and then get your Polish Princess tush back to the village where you're so missed.
Hi Amy,
Reading your blog I can understand why sometimes you feel nervous about your upcoming game because I get butterflies sometimes just with my sparring. It’s like you said though you love the sport so it is well worth it and more so for you because you are a professional. I admire your determination and makes it a good motivator with me.
I love your new photos and your arms look great in that black cutoff shirt! I think you should frame some of those. You look more than ready there girl. Did you cut the sleeves off of that T? Love it!
You asked me how my training and sparring was going. I have to admit I cheated a bit over the July 4th holiday with all the barbecues I went to so I probably put on a couple of pounds. It’s a good thing I didn’t have a pro fight lined up, heh heh. I got back to sparring last week though but just one day against Kim again. We went six rounds and after the first two her and Shawna suggested if I wanted her to slow it down a bit so I could practice and use my technique’s more and I thought it was a good idea. I didn’t do bad until the last two rounds where she began using more combinations from body to the head and vice versa. She mixes things up good I admit and I sometimes just go into a defensive mode and like a peek-a- boo style which isn’t a great thing to do I guess. Right? Maybe I’ll do better this week. We spar twice so we’ll see. Wish me luck. :)
Beth
Hope you knock her out! I'm bad right? :)
