2. Trained triceps, biceps, shoulders, and abs at Hongik.
3. Had my usual mid-morning nap at 8am and then woke up again around 11am.
4. Spent my afternoon sitting around the kitchen table with Snickers. I’ve made a few packages to send to Canada but still haven’t gotten around to sending them which is pretty lazy of me considering I now live a skip, hop, and a jump away from the post office.
5. Deciding to sit down and write letters to accompany my packages put Snickers’ brain in motion and so he sat down to write a letter. When I asked him who he was writing a letter to I was shocked when he said “mom”, as in my mom. It was his first time writing a letter to her and so he told me he was so nervous. He started the letter off with “Dear Mom” and then continued the rest of the letter in Korean so I had to translate it into English. He then wrote out the English translated letter on his special paper.
6. At the boxing club today I met a new member of Snickers’ club, a young guy who’s deaf. He put on a hearing aid after training and so I talked to him for a bit. He left when Snickers and I left and so we took the elevator down together. When the doors closed with the three of us in it, he turned to Snickers and asked him “Are you two married?” Snickers snickered and I responded with “… he would be oh so lucky to marry me”. Truth of the matter is though, we’d both be so lucky to be married to each other.
7. Snickers has been contemplating getting a part-time job lately even though I’m totally against it but his sponsor hasn’t really been financially supporting him and despite him being at the top of his game, apparently holding a champion belt in Korea doesn’t really pay like it should. Snickers wanted a part-time job but I argued that he should wait till after his game. With him training three times a day and his game being only three weeks away, he really should keep his focus undivided and maintain his game-only mentality. So, tonight he had a meeting with a former coach of his regarding a part-time job that the man offered Snickers. Snickers and I both decided he wouldn’t take the job but he headed across town to deliver his decision in person.
8. While Snickers was out for a bit I thought I’d be a sweet girlfriend, test out my new oven and surprise Snickers with a home-cooked dinner. Made some Shake’N Bake chicken and then threw it on a home-cooked pizza. For the pizza dough, I stacked two tortilla shells and then loaded them up with tomatoes, sausages, green peppers, Shake’N Bake chicken, mushrooms, cheese, and onions.
10. Got crazy-mad rave reviews from Snickers for my pizza and so he added “Pizza Master” to my list of mastered-“Master” labels… hahaha.
