1. So much for sleeping in early and then waking up to watch the working world rush off to work. Snickers had me up at the crack of dawn for 6am training.
2. No sooner did I fall back asleep but I received a phone call. My 10am meeting was being moved to 9:20am, giving me exactly 25 minutes to wake up, shower, get ready, and get to the meeting place. Snickers tried to play the hero in my day. I bolted out the door and was running down the street when he scooped me up and threw me on the back of his scooter.
3. With way too much time on my hands I’ve been coming up with way too many things to do. Mind ya, most of them are work-related, meaning waiting for my F2 to come through is driving me mental.
4. While the Cheonan Trump thinks it’s funny to call me his ‘foreign girlfriend’, others call him my Korean uncle, and some say he’s my Korean father. Regardless of whatever title you want to attach to the notoriously-known, ever so filthy rich, and ever so powerful business man, he is by far the best contact I’ve made here in Korea, and the fact that he’s a big sweetheart to me with his rosy cheeks makes him one of my favorite contacts. He’s got mad connections with Dankook University and I was told that if I ever wanted to teach again at Dankook that I should “consider it done”. I mentioned to him about my F2 visa and he asked me if I wanted him to make a call. I declined the offer but definitely will keep his number on speed dial.
5. As it stands, the plan for Thursday’s shooting with the Wonder Girls is that I am to show up at 7am. Originally they wanted to film two days but today they called me to say they’re only filming one day, meaning they booked me from 7am to 12am (midnight)… meaning I have no idea on how I’ll be able to get there for 7am because it’ll take me about 2 hours, and I have no idea how I’ll get home because of the lateness of filming. I take it I’ll be booking myself into a ghetto love motel… oh gosh.
6. It’s official, Junior Mint is Snickers’ new coach. Out with the old, in with the new – and it’s about time.
7. My teammates were more than happy and willing to have Snickers join our club. Tonight we trained with Motor Cross and Panty Boy Jr., both of which were all smiles at the news of Snickers hiring Junior Mint.
8. Now I know why my coach doesn’t let me use my cell phone during training!!! I forgot to turn my phone on vibe and ended up taking a call. It was the filming agency. Thursday’s filming with Wonder Girls was being postponed on account of supposed rumors involving the girls. [note, plans are still on but you’ll have to wait till tomorrow’s entry]
9. Was happy to see Snickers get pushed to the limits at boxing. Today he had early morning training and then at boxing tonight Junior Mint called him into the ring to do pad work. Today marked the first day they’ve ever done pad work together.
10. The plan was to go late night running around Dankook lake but after Snickers and I both returning exhausted from boxing, it was a surprise early lights out for the both of us.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Tell me, tell me... tell you what?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Hide not your talents, they for use were made. What's a sun-dial in the shade?
-- Benjamin Franklin
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

I just got one of those offers with my modeling company. Maybe it's the same one??!! But it wasn't for WonderGirls (oh gosh!). It was for a comercial and it started at 7 am and finished by midnight, so when I calculated the $/ hour it certainly wasn't worth it for me ;)
Good luck at the shoot tomorrow ;) Be sure to get some signatures (and by that I mean pass out yours)....hehe!
