As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Saturday, April 17

1. Junior Mint scooped up Snickers in the early morning and took him off to meet a potential sponsor, a doctor and owner of a local hospital that focuses on natural, herbal medicine.

2. So while Snickers was off doing various medical tests and whatnot, I wondered the river path outside with Mi Nam.

3. Headed out for a mid-morning run and ran into one of my former Dankook coworkers.

4. I had promised Snickers that I’d let him take me out on a first-drive car adventure today, so I loaded the car up with CDs, snacks and whatnot. When he returned to Ggum Guum, after a quick change of clothes, we then headed off for a mini day adventure to break in the new car.

5. Destination: Anmyun, a beach side city on the west coast of South Korea. We took a very, very scenic route that made our expected two hour drive a three and a half hour tour. While driving, I tried to teach Snickers the story lines behind many of the English songs we were listening to and then I tried to teach him some of the key lines in the chorus to sing. For the rest of the day, long after we got out of the car, he would spontaneously break out into one of Mariah Carey's songs. "Touch my body" was the only line he had learned and trust me, he definitely will never forget it... hahaha.6. It was quite chilling out in Anmyun, so we kept close and cuddled as we walked.

7. Saw firsthand how they make salt, that was really cool. At first glance I thought the farmers were preparing rice fields, so it definitely sparked my interest when I caught sight of a piles of white salt among the fields full of water.

8. Tasted Anmyun’s notoriously famous pumpkin sweet potato which, just as the name implies, is a mix between a pumpkin and a sweet potato. It was pure delish and standing late at night by the big barrel as they cooked away on an open fire was rather romantic… I’m totally down with that!!!

9. For dinner, we stopped by a local restaurant. I love fish but I’m not down with eating all the creatures in the sea or having to pick, pry, or pluck out things from shells. Nonetheless, my options for dinner basically consisted on seafood, seafood, or more seafood, so I chose seafood… hahaha. The owner of the restaurant scored major bonus points with me by changing the music CD that was playing and popping in a CD filled with oldies but goodies.
10. After a full day of driving, freezing our butts off, giggling, PDA, and eating questionable foods, we arrived back to Cheonan. I was ready to call it a night but Snickers insisted we visit Mama Kim. We stopped by for a bit, it was super late, but our exit cue was when I almost did a nose dive into the plate of strawberries Mama Kim had cut for us. I was just way too tired, so off to Ggum Guum we went.
