As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Sunday, May 30

Originally, the schedule for today included waking up for 4:30am shooting and watching the sun rise. I’ve never been one to really care about the sun rising and much prefer to get some extra z’s in, so I was happy when they noted the weather would be cloudy and I’d get to sleep in til 6am.

One of the camera men accidently knocked one of the cameras off the table. We all held our breath as they checked to see if it still worked, and it did. Camera knocked on the floor, $6000, and the tripod it sat on, $2,000. Camera not knocked off the table, $60,000, and the tripod it sat on, $10,000… yikes!!!

After doing our version of the leaning-over-the-boat scene from The Titanic, we loaded up the Arirang TV crew van and headed out of Busan.

It had been a great cruise and I really enjoyed the company of the Arirang TV crew; they were all very sweet to us. I particularly favored Mini Min and one of the camera men who I had repeatedly called “Stalker Man” because of the fact he always stayed in my blind spot and positioned himself in the strangest of spots. The director was a cool dude with oversized Police-like sun glasses he wore 24/7 and he continually gave me props for my Korean. The whole crew was really nice.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What are you 'like white on rice' about?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.
