As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The average dog here equaled about three of the average sized dogs. They didn't look like dogs either, they were more like horses!!!

Even the puppies were massive, but they were oh so cute!!!

Here's Snickers holding a one month old pup, it looked like a little teddy bear, and here is the owner of the dog farm holding a dog that isn't quite full grown but needless to say very big.

My favorite of them all was this particular dog... a gentle giant.

That is very sad. I now is not your fault but Dog Farms have only one purpose (and you know what it is). I drove one time by some of those places and I spent two days very depressed. I would never be able to take a tour...:(

Hi Dana,
I'm not a fan of these dog farms but must note that I was rather shocked at how well they treated their dogs compared to other dog farms. They feed all their pups chicken and give them various vitamins to help them grow, moreover, they allow the dogs to freely run around once or twice a day which I know isn't much but most places don't. Also, the fact that they're pushing 80-110kgs and the owner and workers let the dogs freely run and play with them I think says a lot in that I think they really are trying to be more dog-friendly to them. So on that note, I found it rather interesting and a refreshing relief to see them doing this... mind ya, I asked them to wait till I left to let them out. Those were some massive, massive dogs!

Hello Anonymous,
Yes and no. I think the fact that they're shedding their coats and were soaked from the insane monsoon season here in Korea didn't help them to look "pretty" for the camera.
