As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

After class, I had them put on a pair of boxing gloves on to get a real feel for the sport, to get comfortable standing in the ring, and to see where this class has the potential of going to. My boxercise class today was an introduction to the sport of boxing but I could see the hunger in their eyes for more!

Boxercise rocked today... THESE women rocked today and I'm telling you, with the fierceness and determination these gals showed in class today, I'm glad I'm in their good books. Because they've definitely got mad potential to be quite the lean-mean fighting machines!!!

Hi Amy,
Great pictures. I wish I lived near you to join up. It looks like you have a good group there. I wish all women would try out the sport to see how good it is.

Hi Beth,
Thanks... I TOTALLY wish you were here too. I could really use your expertise and passion for the sport of boxing. This past Sunday was only our second class but I had three new people join the class and the energy was awesome! I love boxing, I love fitness, and so I'm DEFINITELY loving what I'm doing these days. It's very encouraging not only to read messages from you but to see the effort those who are coming out to my class are putting forth. I make them work up quite the sweat but they're loving it!!! It's like a continual circle -- they feed off my passion for boxing and I in turn feed off their effort in class.
