As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

My Official Launch... Monday, October 17

Officially launched the website for my fitness company, Flipside Fitness, and added a group page on Facebook (come join my page if you’re in Korea).

I’ve been getting such a positive response and such helpful feedback from various people regarding my boxercise class that I’ve just started to teach, thank you.

The plan is to teach two boxercise classes on Sundays – 10am and 2pm – and then teach classes at 7am during the week. I’ll probably start with a Wednesday morning class and then add more once attendance builds up.

Thank you, thank you… THANK YOU!!!

Adidas is on it, as is my coach, the ladies who attended this past weekend’s boxercise class have been helping to spread the word, and business cards are being printed up as I type.

Like any business, I take it that it’ll take a bit of time for my business to pick up and take off so I’m looking into taking on a part time job – interview this Friday, 5pm. I’m hoping to meet up with another potential sponsor this week, a financial sponsor, so I’m busy typing up a proposal for him.

So between trying to spread the word of my company and meeting with potential sponsors, I’m also trying to continually plan things for my girls-only club. Next month I’ve planned a live music night, am in the process of planning a spa day, a Christmas shopping and café-hopping day, and am hoping to take a group of them out to a hockey game. I’m most stoked about the hockey game – what can I say, I may be Polish but I’m from Canada. Found out that Anyang’s Halla hockey team has Canada’s very own former Leaf’s Ric Jackman... how cool is that?! Of course I gotta get out and support my home team boy!!!

Needless to say, thank God I don’t have a real full time job… or an official job for that matter. I’m way too busy making my own work but you know what, I’m loving every single second of it!!!
