As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Off The Road and On To Recovery... Wednesday, October 12

Waking up today in a cold sweat after a continuous replay of last night’s craziness in my dreams was enough for me to roll over and want to ignore confronting the reality of it all.

So that’s exactly what I did, I rolled over and went back to sleep. I slept… and slept… and slept.

It wasn’t until about 11pm that I actually woke up. I woke up to two bloody fingers from my fall, a twisted ankle from jumping the road barrier, and one dazed and confused look on my face.

“Did last night really happen?” I asked Snickers.

He didn’t say anything but the look on his face and the scrapes and scratches all over his body made it quite clear that yes, last night had actually happened. And on that note, we both went back to bed.

Hi Mrs. Kim,
You're right, drunk driving is a big deal too that's why I am totally against it -- hence the big fight. I was a bit thrown off with why your comment would suggest such a thing but after re-reading my entry, I realized that it came across that way. I can reassure you that no one was drunk driving.
We had been arguing about drinking and driving because the person whose car it was had been drinking more than the others and was refusing us to drive his car. Snickers says I'm always too protective and overcautious about things, hence the huge argument that broke out. I didn't even want the person who ended up driving to drive. It had been about 2 hours since the one beer he had but considering he's a professional car racer his driving is quite nerve-racking. We should have just stood there and figured things out instead of continuing the argument that went from one issue to another in the car.
