As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

After a long week of working a temp job, it sure felt sweet to peel off the clothes, jump in some sweats and lace up the boxing boots.Heading into the 8-to-5 business world of tall buildings, much needed coffee breaks and business suits galore was a nice change. I appreciated the eye candy of the pretty business men but I much prefer my "working world". A world where boxing trunks and sweats are the "business suit" of my teammates, boxing boots are the mandatory "office wear", handwraps are the much needed accessory, and you never leave for work without your mouth gaurd.

Hi Amy,
Great picture of you and your abs look great. Looks like a nice six pack you have. I wish I lived near to where you are sometime to go to your club to spar and practice with you and your students.
Keep it up.
