1. BACK TO WORK!!! I missed my mini Koreans so much! I was happy to return to work but got sad news that Minseo had dropped out!
2. Felt kind of like the town freak with all the students running into the staff room to catch a glimpse of me. Lots of hugs from everyone.... even Louis hugged me!
3. Well apparently my lesson planning ("dummy-style") was pointless. Not only had my classes not received their assigned homework sheets but they also got away with not having to do the oral test and student workbooks. Hmmmm, ....interesting.
4. Felt so good to hear the numerous stories from Helen about how the students missed me. Apparently Jack made quite a scene!
5. Can't find my "SLP Bible"....ahhhhh!!! How am I going to teach the "SLP message"?! ....Ha, ha, ha.
6. After spending 3 brutally long hours in a chair at the hair salon in Toronto, it's nice to know that the only one who noticed my hair change was Patty; she's 5.
7. Got asked to come in early again to tutor Hanna. Agreed to do so despite my hate for early mornings and the fact that she randomly chooses to not show up.
8. Desks got totally switched around in the staff room and surprisingly Spazzy-K didn't move to the farthest spot away from me. She's still my neighbor. High hopes for changes between us.... God knows she was one of my new year's resolutions, let's see if I am one of hers.
9. Standing there in his new CANADA sweater, I officially claimed Ryan the best-looking and proudest banana!
10. Dinner out with Ryan involved sweating it out as I ate the super spicy chicken.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How come popcorn isn't considered a vegetable?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today. -- Stacia Tauscher
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
