As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of My Day...Friday October 28

1. It's official... I'm staying in Korea!
2. New Canadian Shannon has arrived and she's met my approval cause she's been the only good help I've had for my gym class, she shares my love for lip gloss, and she likes my "I hate Americans" jokes.
3. My second full day of my anti-coffee strike. I refuse to give in.
4. It's official.... booked my plane ticket to the Philippines for my winter break. I'll be there for four days and I don't plan on packing anything but a bathing suit and contact lense solution... and lip gloss (of course)!
4. Drama with the halloween costume I was SUPPOSE to be lent. Wendy told two of us (me and her daughter) that we could both wear it and so I of course lost that battle.
5. Broke the news to Ellie, Wendy and Kris (coworkers) about my decision to break-off my engagement and they were totally shocked. All three of these women thought I was joking. "Do you need soju?" was all Kris could say.
6. Phoned a good friend of mine in Toronto and was surprised to hear that he's seriously thinking about planning a trip out to see me.
7. Checked out MBar with Tasha and it was packed, "club night". Met these two incredibly sweet Korean girls, Ming Young and Un Young. Ming Young was so cute telling everyone that we're sisters. I felt like an older sister to here though cause I took care of here for the rest of the evening.
8. Somehow got convinced to compete in this human auction where I had to do a dance-off. Thought it funny and embarrassing to have random people bid on me. It was totally rigged though cause although some other Korean guy and my sister, Ming Young, and Tasha were bidding high, Je Min's lower bid won.
9. Scored a t-shirt out of the whole deal and the popularity of the MBar crowd.
10. Met some new staff member at MBar who made it his responsibility to take care of Tasha and I.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
If friends are a reflection of you, what does your choice of friends say about you?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Korea's got Seoul!
-- cute saying off a random t-shirt
