1. Interesting.... after six days of not picking up my phone, Paulo finally discovers how to email me. Not too sure what to think here.
2. Got treated to lunch at Kimbob Heaven restaurant courtesy of Tasha's friend Pom. Thanks dude.
3. Totally embarrassed myself at the checkout counter at LotteMart. I was standing there talking to Patty about Korean men when the good-looking Korean man behind us switched isles. We thought nothing of it until I turned to me and said (in perfect English), "I switched cause your line is slow" Oh my gosh... he totally knew what we were saying. My face was redder than my shirt!
4. Ventured up the mountain with Daewoo and thought it funny when Daewoo fell into one of the dug out burial mounds. What a goof.
5. Am convinced I have a new fan.... Daewon gym's new manager. He kept on checking out my weights. He helped me out with the lat pull-down machine and surprisingly enough I understood him despite the fact that he basically only used like 6 English words.
6. Picked up some fruit from my local fruit vendor lady. She's so cute. Not quite sure of what exactly the huge melon/apple fruit was that she gave me as a treat.
7. Went downtown for coffee with Ryan and coffee turned into a three hour chat.
8. Always amazed at what English sayings Ryan picks up on. Today's saying was "you've got hungry bum". I told him that it's nothing nice to say and he told me how he learnt it was so inappropriate. Had a good laugh and his misfortune though.
9. Terrible news.... found out that my stiletto black boots have scratched the side of Ryan's scooter. I feel so terrible! I offered to pay for the expensive repair but he said it's no problem. I feel so bad.
10. Plans for tomorrow consist of taking Ryan to the movies... I have some major butt-kissing to do to make up for the damaged scooter.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How honest would you say you are?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
The Grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.
-- Allan K. Chalmers
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
