As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of My Day...Tuesday October 25

1. Thought painting with the kindergartens was a great idea until Jules and I realized we didn't have enough brushes.... no turning back though, we used our hands. 20 pairs of messy hands!
2. My 10 hour days as we know it are coming to an end! Amen! Apparently a new Korean teacher has been hired and will be taking over my extra classes come next Monday.
3. Ran out of money on my cell and as annoying as that is, got to love it when $10 gives me enough time on my phone to last a month. Sure is a refreshing change from the phone bills I use to pay in Canada!
4. Showed my "sensitive" side today during a discussion about a mind-boggling and completely frustrating issue.... oh, these are the days of my life.
5. Was totally in a weird mood today but found humor in my friend's email and so I thought I'd include it in today's blog...

9 Things I Hate About Everyone

1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where the heck is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is?
2. People who are willing to get off their butt to search the entire room for the tv remote because they refuse to walk to the tv and change the channel manually.
3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too". What good is a cake if you can't eat it?
4. When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the heck would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they? Gonna give their bum a good kick!
5. When people say while watching a film "did you see that?". No freak, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the floor.
6. People who ask "Can I ask you a question?".... Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine?
7. When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it.
8. When people say "life is short". What??? Life is the longest thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?
9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone ! asks "Has the bus come. Now if the bus came would I be standing here, dumbnut?

... No, I don't hate everyone. I don't even think I hate anyone but I definitely like some people more than others.

6. Cancelled on Tasha and Woo for Korean language lessons and canceled tonight's training. Not up to dealing with more than I've already got on my plate. Sometimes you just have to go solo.
7. Finally got around to emailing back numerous friends back in Canada.... I'm sorry for the delayed response.
8. Escaped to downtown Cheonan for coffee with Ryan and finally found my answer while sitting in the back of a chilly taxi.
9. Ryan's English slang for the day.... "bling bling" and "mofo". Although I admit I'm guilty of teaching him a inappropriate slang word, I will not confess to what phrase it was but I also admit it was so funny to hear him try to use it.
10. Went for a walk downtown and came back way too late. I'm not ready to give up Korea.... or it's Korean people too!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Have you ever been so blinded to what's actually in front of you?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I never think of the future - it comes soon enough.
-- Albert Einstein (shout-outs to Pete again for another great quote)
