As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of My Day...Thursday November 10

1. Woke up and had one of those moments where you think that if you just close your eyes and wish really hard, your wish will come true. Opened my eyes and realized that my wish for extra time had failed. It was 9:11 am and I was a 15 min taxi ride away from home. Usually I'm at work by 9 am!
2. Flew down my street and literally changed, freshened up and got to work in 5mins. Entered into the school lobby just as the bell rang. Talk about good timing!
3. Got word that my director has been hospitalized in Seoul for some problem with his stomuch. We're going to be 10 days without him but no problem... we're professionals.
4. Taught Dream class a lesson on Canadian currency and while discussing the fine printing on the coins I totally got caught up remanising about the various years on the coins.
5. It was market day for my elementary Glory class and so before Jenny teacher took them to the gym I gave them a humorous lesson on bargining. Later found out that Sophia did what I told her to do, "If all else fails, say please, tilt your head to the side, smile big and act as cute as you possibly can". Jenny told me she was so irrestistable and so this trick abled her to score big.
6. 빼빼로줘!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow's one of Korea's "hallmark holidays" (or so I refer to them as). Candy businesses here have created various holidays and so tomorrow's holiday is all about these chocolate dipped cookie sticks. Way to get people to buy your product! What an advertising scam.
7. After waiting too long for the school elevator, I decided to take the stairs. Was totally thrown off guard when Bedro (elementary Glory class) decided to grab my hand and follow me. I've been trying hard to make him feel comfortable in Glory class cause he's new and he's also the only boy. Looks like I've been successful.
8. Another night of no hydro...this is really getting annoying because it means my showers are brutally cold and I can't cook. Mind you, I think my inability to cook stems not from having no hydro but from the fact that I really can't cook.
9. Got kissed by my favorite Korean... Ryan.
10. Realized that things will never be the same and am excited, optimistic and curious as to what's next.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How true are you to yourself?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...

We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.
