1. Realized that my initial attempt to quit coffee was exactly a month ago. It took some miserable attempts but I have officially quit coffee.
2. Celebrated my success with a cup of coffee.
3. Played doctor with my kindergarten Dream class and remembered the last time I played doctor, it was with....hmm, never mind. Just joking!
4. While playing doctor with Dream, Roy was using the stethoscope and he told me he couldn't hear my heart.... that's not the first time I've heard that.
5. Stabbed myself in the hand by accident in front of my elementary Leo class. It hurt like a mofo but I was teaching a lesson and the new teacher was there so I had to act all cool. Ouch!
6. It's official... not only have I cut off my connection with various friends back in Canada but I've also cut off my connection with the other foreigners here. I requested my blog link to be removed off Cheonan Station. Re-establishing who I really want to associate myself with.
7. Figure that I'm the "cat" and so I tried hard all day to turn the tables.... long story. Tasha and Robbie, you know what I'm talking about! Ha ha ha.
8. Ventured into the movie store to finally pay my late fee. I had a movie overdue for almost a week now. Late fee was 600won (equivalent to about 65 cents Canadian).
9. Took the evening off training and ventured out to Seoul to go FINALLY check out Mr. Kim's boxing club. It was this small club no bigger than my EMBA club back in Toronto but I got the feeling that I definitely was of the few female boxers this club has ever seen.
10. Spent the rest of my evening doing rounds on the heavy bag and working the pads in the ring with Mr. Kim. I was so pumped, it was like I was preparing for a fight. Training with Mr. Kim and his low, low English level was intimidating at first but rather easy. His teaching was rather animated but he continuously yelled at me. After a few strong punches to the head, I got what he was yelling...."duck when I do this!"
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What's a passion of yours?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Bite off more than you can chew, then chew it.
-- Ella Williams
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
