As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Friday, December 2

1. Apparently my Wisdom students are getting more and more aggressive with each other. Forwarned them that if anyone continues this behaviour on Monday then they’re going to be sent home. Won’t really send them home but hoping I have enough will power to give them a bit of a much deserved scare.
2. Realized that Wisdom class was way more aggressive today...maybe they're getting it all out before Monday's "due date".

3. Practiced and practiced again with Dream class for the Christmas show.
4. Gave out more “lines” for students to write out. “At SLP we speak only English…At SLP we speak only English…etc., etc.” Yes, I am the English Nazi when it comes to enforcing speaking only English.

5. Why is it so funny when I refer to a guy a being beautiful? I don' t understand. Je Min seemed to find it hilarious that I referred to Ryan as beautiful.... maybe I should have told Je Min that I refer to him as "Stalker Boy" when I talk about him. Let's see if he finds that funny!
6. Went to Mbar to met up with my homegirl, Jenn. Apparently she had flagged over these dudes to sit with her before I came. As apart of Jenn’s introduction of me to these strangers, she told them “she [me] hates Americans.” Five minutes later I’m informed that three of them are Americans… great!
7. Tried to convince these Americans that I didn’t hate Americans but I’m sure I came off as trying to hard and thus actually a hater of Americans. I don’t hate them, they’re just not high up on my list of people I like, that’s all.
8. Had a whole table of Korean men join us on the dance floor and form a huge circle with us. Talk about good times, lots of laughs and some interestingly “creative” dance moves! Best move of the night was Seth doing his impression of "under the bar" Korean move I taught him. He was so proud once he had mastered it!
9. Met up with Ryan and Darren at Kooma. Finally…one of my friends gets to meet Ryan. For awhile there I’m sure some of my friends were beginning to wonder if there even was a “Ryan”!
10. Scored a new Korean tutorer. After plans to be taught by Woo miserably failed, Ryan took it upon himself to buy me my first Korean text, “Survival Korean”. He says he’ll tutor me…. Great!!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How do they get the caramel inside the caramel bar?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I'm better make you happy.
