As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Monday, December 5

1. Started my morning off on a rough note... wacked my forehead on a ledge and went to school sporting a bruise on my forehead. Thankfully I was able to hide it with makeup.
2. My good deed of the day was providing a wake-up call for a coworker. He still showed up late for work. Great.
3. Am convinced I care too much about things I really shouldn't get myself involved in. No more Mrs Nice Gal... ha, ha, ha (that was my evil laugh).
4. Drama 101 today in the staff room. I love it when people shot their mouths when they don't know what they're talking about. Freaked out and added my two cents to the peanut gallery.
5. On Friday I had assigned diaries to my elementary Peace class. They were allowed to write anything but it had to be in the form of a letter to me. Hmmm, interesting! Here's some of the things they wrote....
  • Sarah told me that she likes my class cause she thinks I'm pretty.
  • Jimmy wrote that my face is small but my mouth is big.
  • Rebecca says I laugh a lot in class.
  • Jimmy called me long (not too sure what that means).
  • John said he liked me because I was a trouble-maker like him.
  • Kevin wrote that I'm the smartest in the class.
  • James (1) said he likes English now because he likes my class.
  • And James (2) proclaimed that he loved me.
6. Kicked Jake out of my Peace class because he wrote that I was ugly and old. I asked him if he wrote it as a joke and he said no so out he went. I told him that was mean and so he could come in when he wanted to appologize.... He never came in.
7. Had another run-in with "Spazzy-K". Always surprised at how rude people can be and how unaware of it too.
8. Had too much fun vaccuming my apartment. Turned on the tunes and away I went, vaccuming everything, even my bedspread!
9. Learned how to count to ten in my "Power Korean" session with Ryan.
10. Saved my banana milk till when I visited Ryan only to have him drink it on me. He's lucky he's cute!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Do dumb people really know they're dumb or are they too dumb to even make the connection?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
The world is filled with willing people; some willing to work, the rest willing to let them.
