1. Simple lesson on shopping with Wisdom turned into a sudden field trip to the local LotteMart and a promotional event.
2. Had so much fun watching all the shoppers at LotteMart oh and ah over my students. Ya that's right.... I've got the most beautiful and smartest kids in my crew! How do you think they got so smart?!
3. Nasty.... while sitting beside Dream class Hanbi at lunch, she sneezed so hard and so her kimchi went flying from her mouth! Thought I was one of the luckier victims. I got hit in the head but Patty got it all down the front of her. Found out hours later that it had gone down my shirt, great.
4. What a trade off... thought it a good idea when I got Louis to teach my Glory class today so I could write out the script for his kinder class presentation... it was all cool until I ran into a problem. Acquiring an English version, or any version for that matter, of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" is next to impossible in this country.
5. Today's winner is Arpi. Voted Arpi in Canada "Hero of the Day" after he agreed to buy "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", take pictures of the story, and then email it to me. Good stuff buddy!
6. Treated myself to a Korean-style shopping spree. Bought some funky totally Korean looking clothes. At this rate, I'm really curious as to what I'll look like this time next year.
7. SCORED LARGE WITH CHRISTMAS... I know it's not Christmas yet but I've already got my Christmas tree up, decorated, and surrounded by wrapped presents.... Thanks mom for mailing me all the tree and all the gifts. You're awesome! Eat your hearts out all you jealous foreign teachers...ha ha ha, just jokes. Getting three packages in the mail at once was pretty wicked though.
8. Ran home and ripped open my mail packages and then spent the evening listening to Christmas carols, decorating my tree and getting all excited about my proposed holiday trip. Oh baby, it's going to be great!
9. Spent about an hour working on the choreography for Wisdom class' Christmas song presentation. I'm sure my neighbor's really appreciated an hour straight of "Jingle Bell Rock".
10. The night is never complete without an hour or two of Ryan. He's still not convinced that my Toronto made Crest toothpaste is better than his nasty Korean-made pine tree stuff. If I wanted to taste what it's like sucking on a pine tree I'd just go outside and do that. It'd not only be cheaper but it'd be fresher too. ㅋㅋㅋ!
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
When is too much of a good thing too much?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Health is not simply the absence of sickness.
-- Hannah Green
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
