As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Saturday, January 21

1. Met up with Mr. Lee to go check out a possible new apartment for me. It was really nice but it was also really not what I’m looking for.
2. Much to my uncertainity about whether it’d be a total bust or not, I went with Ryan to Seoul to meet up with his buddies.
3. Finally found a really nice white winter ¾ length jacket. Ryan played his best poker face but I couldn’t help but giggle as the sales lady literally held me back and refused to let me leave her shop. She finally gave into Ryan and I scored a great deal on the price.
4. Met up with Kwang Ho and Shin Wo. First time meeting Shin Wo but I’ve hung out with Kwang Ho. Congrats to Kwang Ho for his new job that’s taking him to Japan for a few months. Kwang Ho definitely is one of my favorites among the people Ryan has introduced me to. He's got such a sweet and innocent nature about him. Shin Wo's pretty cool too.

5. Had an “interesting” evening in Seoul and I don’t think I’ve ever talked so little nor daydreamed so much. Meeting Ryan's female friend was definitely the most uncomfortable part of the night. In my head I tried to figure out how to run away and get back to Cheonan but then reality hit me and I knew that wasn't a cool thing to do. Stayed and tried to make the most of the evening.
6. Hats off to Ryan for being an incredible sweetheart and trying so hard to swing me into the conversations. Ryan, when you left the table… I was lost!
7. Got commented way too many times today on my “small head”. It’s funny how Korean’s love small heads and yet us Canadians would take it as a insult. When I think of small head I think shrunken voodoo head. Not nice.
8. Snuck into Ryan’s grandmother’s house to crash for the night. She had the television blasting and I was nervous to even sneak a peek at her. Ryan claimed she couldn't hear anything but I was still so nervous. I'm a good girl... ha, ha, ha.
9. Have to say that seeing the metal Ryan got for being in the army was pretty impressive. Touching that metal, I felt pretty proud to be his girlfriend.
10. Had the hardest time falling asleep knowing that the only thing that separated me from being founded out was a closed door.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Where's the limit of your comfort level?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
English is a funny language; that explains why we park our car on the driveway and drive our car on the parkway.
