As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Friday, February 24

1. Ate a plate full of fish today and shocked all my kinder kids cause they know I hate fish. Little do they know, my nostrils are still out of order and so eating is no longer enjoyable.
2. Today’s gym class had a record high injury list! Thought we had lowered it but today’s gym class took out 5 kinder kids!
3. Returned from gym class to a sad empty Wisdom classroom and Jinny standing there crying. Turns out the Big Guy told the helper teachers to take down everything from the walls for the new class come March. Well, that included the massive artwork we had just done yesterday and so Jinny was heartbroken when she discovered her painting all ripped up and on the top of the garbage pile.
4. Presents from the kinder kids and their parents started rolling in today. I love how sweet some of them can be and it only makes it that much harder to have to say good-bye now.
5. Am I illegal in Korea or not? That seems to be the question of the WEEK!
6. Much thanks to Alice teacher, Ryan and Darren for doing what my boss should be doing… helping me with work visa complications.
7. Oh ya, thanks to “Wonder Woman” too for her continuous help and show of friendship. It’s great to know that I’m working hard for someone I can respect.
8. Finished my packing tonight and realized just how impossible it’d be for me to even think of leaving Korea based on all the stuff I’ve accumulated over this one year… WOW!
9. So giddy about the big move to the pimpin’ pad tomorrow… I feel like a little kid at Christmas!

10. Last night in my old apartment. Found myself remanising about how it was when I first walked through these doors over a year ago.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How do you say good-bye?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.
