As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Saturday, February 4

1. You know you have a first-class boyfriend when he’s willing to spend the WHOLE day doing the laundry you spent the night getting sick on…. and I mean SICK on!!!
2. Argued with Ryan as to whether or not I should go to the hospital. I tried to convince him to pose as me and say he had my symptoms. Turns out we’re both equally stubborn.
3. Finally got persuaded into going to the hospital and it’s a good thing I did as suppose to getting Ryan to pose as me. Had to spend 30mins hooked up to an IV.
4. Was the source of fasination by the other hospital patients. At the sight of my white skin they all seemed to be interested and curious in me.
5. Had to deal with a very mechanical and rough nurse. Then there was the doctor who… well all I’ll say about him is, thank goodness Ryan is my boyfriend as oppose to just some friend! For a more conservative country they weren’t so conservative today!
6. Knew I was going to be the social outcast but Ryan refused to let me put on make-up.
7. After returning from the hospital lectured him about what it’s like leaving my house as a white woman vrs. a Korean. Our trip to the hospital definitely proved my point.
8. Picked up my prescription of meds and am kind of nervous taking all these pills. In three days I will have taken 27 pills and 9 of these funky syrup packs.
9. Finally got to eat after puking and pooping up everything I had eaten in the past week, basically! So we did our meals up Canadian style… used our Canadian maple syrup and our Canadian bought Heinz 57 (I know it’s not Canadian made).
10. Still not done the laundry!!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What's the difference between stubborn and being picky?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.
