As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Saturday, February 11

1. Ventured all the way to Seoul to drop off my Asan contract, only to find out that I still need to add two things to my application and I could have mailed it!
2. It’s official… I’m now a public school teacher employed by the city of Asan. Forget about this hagwan business, viewing kids as dollar signs is just not for me.
3. Got big compliments from my agent’s coworker and definitely have to agree with her about Ryan.
4. Traveled around Seoul in an overly crowded subway and definitely admit I liked it! Made for an interesting ride.
5. Hmmm, crowded subways…. I’m lovin’ it! Ha, ha, ha… don’t you agree Ryan?
6. News flash…. just when you thought Korea couldn’t possibly eat more kimchi, McDonalds has come up with the KIMCHI BURGER! Ya, like I’ll be lining up for that… nasty.
7. Upon returning to Cheonan, Ryan and I went house hunting and scored a chance at possibly renting a office-style apartment. Great!
8. Relived a part of my childhood with having to bundle up and wear two layers for tonight’s bike ride. Felt like a blow-up doll on the back of Ryan’s scooter.
9. Despite my sad cooking skills, I was right on the money with the milk. I remember my mom always using milk instead of water and so today’s mushroom soup was wicked! Mind you, maybe we should have added some more water because it was more like paste as oppose to soup.
10. Computer got fixed today and so our movie nights resumed tonight. Tonight’s featured film was “Along came Polly”.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Do you like the subway?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
And in today already walks tomorrow.
