1. Woke up craving spicy pork and so we ditched our Sunday traditional visit to TGIF and went to Kimbap Nara.
2. After two days of what feels like non-stop washing, finally finished the laundry that resulted from my sick-fest on Friday. Big props out to Ryan for definitely nailing down the award for “Best boyfriend in the world”. Competition has nothing on him! He’s endured two days of laundry that preceded Friday’s bad rendition of an episode of “The X-Files” that never hit cable.
3. Find it interesting to note that I can buy boots from a street vendor, squid from a truck, clothes from a lady on the corner, but go to the stores and it’s like impossible to buy house accessories. Resorted to online shopping with Ryan.
4. Just like old times… Ryan took me out for ice cream and it was cute. We use to always meet for hot chocolate or coffee but even since the first kiss, well, now we’re homebodies. I like it though, I like both actually.
5. Mom… Ryan’s forcing me to take drugs…. kids just say “no”… ha, ha, ha. Thanks to Ryan for being the protective boyfriend and dealing with my stubbornness.
6. Experienced Indy 500 while on the back of Ryan’s scooter.
7. Went to Emart with Ryan AND got a ride home from him too. (little dose of sarcastic humor for ya all)
8. Discovered a fold-up fork, definitely keeping that.
9. Frustrations with my computer. If this computer didn’t cost me so much I’d make a nice frisbee out of it today!
10. Shocked Ryan with some “interesting” insight about people other than Koreans… today’s shocker was the truth behind Greek men… or should I say, in front of them. Ha, ha, ha!!!
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Why is it that we don't always recognize the moment when love begins but we always know when it ends?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
True love is like ghosts, which everybody talks about and few have seen.
-- Maxim 76
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
