As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Tuesday, February 7

1. Hanna didn’t show up for tutoring. Do it again tomorrow and I’m so outta here. I really don’t care to hang out at the school early in the morning for the simple fact that her parents have money.
2. Once again, remind myself that the countdown is to close to the end to turn around and deal with Spazzy-K. She’ll be someone else’s problem soon… I wish them luck, they’re going to need it.
3. Big birthday bash for the kindergarten classes. It was full of birthday gifts and tons of food, too bad I couldn’t eat any of it…. fasting for 12 hours for my medical today. This sucks large!
4. Much thanks to Dave and his wicked letter of reference. If I didn’t know better, I’d think this person he wrote about is tough competition for my new job!
5. York University transcripts arrived AGAIN at my school but this time they were actually sealed! Oh…. how professional.
6. Had my medical exam and did all sorts of tests. Got poked, pricked, pushed, pulled and even half naked! Tasha questioned me, “Why did you need a chest x-ray?”… I think it was to see if I had a heart. As for the urine test, I'm not too sure what peeing on a strip of paper tests for... aim?!
7. Funniest part of my exam was the fact that I was trying so hard to focus on the numbers on the screen but then realized even if I said them all right, the Korean nurse wouldn’t know. She didn’t speak a word of English. Moreover, the fact that I did my eye exam without telling them I had lenses automatically cancels out the “you good eyes yes” compliment.
8. Reminisced with Patty about past boyfriends. She especially enjoyed my story of “Tony”, a rebellious guy I dated when I lived on a boat house at a Christian camp years ago. “Tony” wanted to kiss me but I totally rejected him. He was so mad and so he dumped me. Got even by starting a rumor that he had AIDS. He ended up getting fired because the camp director thought “Tony” was being an “adventurous” staff member…. oops!
9. Rumor has it the Big Guy (aka Mr. Not-So-Smart) is trying to ration our food and he even wants to know who eats the most. Jokes on him, we all know where the kitchen is. What’s next… do I have to bring my own paper for the photocopier…oh wait, I already do that (colored paper).
10. Late dinner with Ji Hyong. Turns out he's now going to my other gym so no more funnies at the gym. Even Woo's schedule has changed and so he's working at the gym in the mornings now.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Would you want to work for you if you were the boss?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Be content with what you have, rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.
