1. Nothings like waking up to two Korean men delivering freshly made furniture! Beautiful… the furniture that is. They were so new they still had saw dust on it from the craftsman! Excellent.
2. Almost living box free! With the arrival of my shelf unit, TV table and the night table, I’m finally able to open up the moving boxes and unload!
3. Still no word on the couch… seems like the seller is out of stock and so somewhere my couch is on a boat traveling towards me.
4. Single-handedly attacked the issue of moving the furniture and almost got my butt kicked by the shelf unit that apparently likes white skin. I turned around and then it tried to jump on my back. Great, it doesn’t sit flat…. what’s up with that?!
5. Apparently there’s 40 curious people in Korea reading my blog… reveal yourselves I say!
6. Went surfing…. online, of course. Discovered some “interesting” websites of friends and even my brother. In the words of my brother “There are three things to know in life: Empty the things that are full; fill the things that are empty; and always scratch where it itches.” What I’m more interested in is whether #*@(% ‘s girlfriend knows about his site. Hmmm!
7. Official house pet… a mouse. Ryan bought me a mouse today and it’s so cute. It’s black and so small… and it’s made by Microsoft.
8. Jumped online to chat with Patty and while I had the web cam running, Ryan decided he was going to strut his stuff and shake his booty…. Got to love a man with a sense of humor and the fact he’s quite the “entertainer”… ha, ha, ha!
9. Field trip to Emart. Tonight’s weather was perfect scooter weather. So with the cool wind brushing through my hair and hugging the hot driver, I was a very content back-seat rider.
10. Starring contest with Babo-Man in the taxi. What you’ve never seen a white chic or a Korean guy?! Di jin da!
QUESTION OF THE DAY…
What is your world like?
QUOTE OF THE DAY…
I want the world. I want the whole world. I want to lock it all up in my pocket. It's my bar of chocolate. Give it to me now.
-- Quote from the movie “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory”
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
