1. Nothing tastes better on Korean pancakes than delicious imported Canadian pure maple syrup.
2. Ryan’s white hair count is six to date. Six found, six plucked… ouch!
3. Finally can lean on the windowsill and look out the window after spending way too much time and way too much cleaner cleaning it last night. That dirty nasty woman may not live here anymore but I’m still cleaning up after her. Dang girl! I find a sense of peace in knowing she’ll make an awful wife and I’ll be a great one… that alone justifies all my hard work.
4. Ventured out to Carafore with Ryan and that was interesting. Ryan’s becoming quite the homemaker and insisted I needed ANOTHER dish holder for drying dishes. Where’s my boyfriend and what have you done to him… he’s turning into Martha Stewart!
5. Discovered just how hard it is to find Korean shoes I like when what seemed like a simple task turned into a 3hr tour.
6. Found a seventh white hair! Hmmmm…. this one is interesting.
7. More online shopping… tonight’s purchase was a case for my notebook. Finally I’m taking Tasha’s advice and protecting my much beloved notebook computer.
8. Went out for dinner, Ryan’s pick, and I must say… hmm, no thanks! Never had boiled meat before and I’m sure I’ll never plan to eat it again. Sorry Ryan. You meant well but my stomach just didn’t approve of your choice.
9. I think I think too much cause planning a simple introduction lesson is causing me too much stress. I’m eager to start my new job but really want to make a good first impression.
10. Just think, this time next week I’ll have been to Thailand and back… sweet!
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What causes white hair if you're not old?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
A man is not where he lives, but where he loves.
-- Latin proverb
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
